Barbara Hanish is Office Manager at Aledo Consulting. She has had broad experience in various facets of healthcare for almost 30 years, as a technician, researcher and administrator. She was Executive Assistant and Office Manager of Aledo Consulting, Inc. from 2004-2012.
Barbara worked for several years in the clinical setting as a nuclear medical technologist before transitioning to osteoporosis research at Indiana University School of Medicine. Barbara has served as Executive Assistant and Office Manager for Pharmaceutical Corporation of America, a contract repackaging company that specialized in unit-of-use pharmaceuticals for hospitals, clinics and all types of healthcare facilities. In addition to her administrative role managing a $10 million per year enterprise, she was the primary coordinator of a National Institutes of Health (NIH) research study, the African American Study of Kidney Disease and Hypertension (AASK). The AASK study was a five year project involving 21 sites throughout the United States. Barbara was critical in several logistical activities such as designing the materials and packaging the medications for each site which assured efficient pharmaceutical delivery while maintaining the double-blind nature of the study.
Returning to the care delivery setting, Barbara worked as practice manager of a large single specialty physician practice. In that role, her responsibilities included overseeing the efficient delivery of health care, billing and accounting policies, procedures of the practice, third party reimbursement issues, HIPAA, and team building among the practice staff.
Barbara is a cum laude graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a BS in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
